Applications are open for the 2024 Connecticut District Export Council awards. 

The annual awards recognize Connecticut firms for achievements expanding market reach. 

The Connecticut District Export Council presented 19 companies with awards in 2023 for their efforts. 

Connecticut commodity exports increased 3.2% to $15.85 billion in 2023. 

More than 4,600 Connecticut companies export goods, with commodity exports accounting for 4.7% of the state’s GDP last year.

Qualifications

There are two categories of awards. 

Connecticut-based companies who exported to a new company outside the U.S. during the 2023 calendar are eligible to qualify for the new to market award. 

Connecticut-based companies who increased export sales to one country by 10% year over year are eligible for the growth award. 

The product exported must contain at least 51% U.S. content. Interested companies can apply here by August 31.
