CBIA is looking for businesses in the greater Hartford area to provide internships for Hartford Public High School juniors.
The students have participated in workforce readiness classes, most are college-bound, and many have clear career goals—all they need is an opportunity.
CBIA’s Education & Workforce Partnership acquired a grant that is available to help pay salaries for interns if a company needs funding assistance.
Companies are invited to attend an informational breakfast meeting on internships March 13 from 8 to 9:15 am at CBIA’s headquarters, 350 Church Street, Hartford.
The breakfast will be hosted by Pratt & Whitney executive Dave Smith, who will explain why it makes good business sense to hire high school interns and how UTC has benefited from the program for the past eight years.

For more information or to reserve a seat at the breakfast, please contact CBIA’s Dayl Walker (860.244.1935).
