As lawmakers approach the final weeks of session, representatives from different business organizations will discuss why certain proposed workplace mandates threaten the state’s business climate and economy.
Connecticut Advocates for Business Press Conference
Monday, April 30, 9:30 am
Hearing Room 1C, Connecticut Legislative Office Building (300 Capitol Ave, Hartford)
Given the sluggish state economy, proposed mandates such as paid family and medical leave, paid sick leave, sexual harassment prevention training, and $15 minimum wage distract from the most important issue facing Connecticut and lawmakers—the urgent need to spur business investment and job creation in the state.
Speakers will include:

  • Joe Brennan, CBIA
  • Scott Dolch, Connecticut Restaurant Association
  • Eric Gjede, CBIA
  • Wayne Pesce, Connecticut Food Association
  • Wendy Traub, National Federation of Independent Business
