Thomaston Savings Bank Awards YWCA $10K

Thomaston Savings Bank is continuing its commitment to supporting the community, with its foundation awarding $10,000 to YWCA New Britain to help renovate the center’s gymnasium. 

As part of the renovations the center will get a new scoreboard. 

“Thomaston Savings Bank is delighted to support YWCA New Britain with the funding of their gymnasium and scoreboard renovations. 

“This space has truly been transformed and will serve as a hub for various community events in New Britain,” Thomaston Savings Bank president and CEO Stephen Lewis said. 

Community Hub

YWCA New Britain offers childcare programs, fitness and sports classes, performing arts opportunities, and sexual assault services for the community. 

YWCA New Britain executive director Tracey Madden-Hennessey said the organization appreciates the support of the Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation.
