Connecticut Spring & Stamping Acquires NJ Manufacturer

Farmington-based manufacturer Connecticut Spring & Stamping is expanding with the acquisition of New Jersey-based Tryco Tool & Manufacturing. 

CSS manufactures precision springs and stampings for a variety of industries including medical, defense, and aerospace.

Tryco focuses its precision stamping on complex progressive dies and production for the government, commercial, electrical, and aerospace markets.

Both companies are family owned and operated. 

Tryco has been operating in Orange, NJ for more than 65 years, while CSS has been in business for more than 85. 

‘Excellent Fit’

“This acquisition was an excellent fit,” CSS said in a statement announcing the acquisition. 

CSS said they will continue to manufacture in New Jersey for the next three to six months, but will transition all production to its facilities in Farmington and Southington.

The company recently expanded its Farmington location to 200,000 square feet, providing the capacity to diversify its stamping capabilities. 

“The CSS level of customer focus, attention to detail, and production of quality parts will transfer to Tryco customers through a seamless transition,” the company said in a statement. 

The acquisition took effect Feb. 1, 2024.
