Manufacturing

Each month, we profile a Connecticut manufacturer, showcasing the ingenuity and innovation driving the state’s economy. For March, we spoke with Chris Guidotti, vice president of manufacturing at East Branch Engineering and Manufacturing, based in New Milford.

When was your company founded?

1989

What products does your company manufacture? Who are your customers?

East Branch produces a variety of metal and plastic components that support the medical diagnostic, aerospace, military, power systems, and electronic industries.

We excel at producing prismatic components with a variety of complex features—electronic enclosures, housings, motion components, insulators, and connectors.

Why did you choose manufacturing?

I chose manufacturing for the challenge and reward of producing products that can have a positive impact on other businesses and people’s lives.

For example, one of our primary customers produces medical imaging equipment for the detection of breast cancer.

I think everyone has been affected by cancer in one way or another and it is rewarding to know that we are a part of improving the detection and treatment of cancer.

What makes your company unique?

Commitment to quality, attention to details, fast turn around, and customer satisfaction are the hallmarks of East Branch.

The company prides itself on the relationships it has built with customers. East Branch strives to remain at the forefront of the industry through constant evaluation of design, production, and inspection processes.

The production staff utilizes the most appropriate production methods and innovative technology to meet or exceed customer expectations.

Why did you choose Connecticut?

With its deep roots in manufacturing, Connecticut is the perfect location to support other American companies on their manufacturing journeys.

Manufacturing has been a part of Connecticut for a long time and it is that deep history that we hope to leverage as we grow and develop new talent and customers.
