ASML announced a $1.5 million partnership with Connecticut Foodshare—marking the largest corporate contribution ever made to the statewide food bank.

Leaders spoke about the commitment March 24 during a Conversations with Connecticut Foodshare event.

The panel discussion brought together business, nonprofit, and philanthropic leaders to focus on hunger relief efforts across the state.

“Strong partnerships are essential to addressing hunger in our communities,” Connecticut Foodshare president and CEO Jason Jakubowski.

“ASML’s historic commitment will help ensure that our neighbors across Connecticut have reliable access to nutritious food while also strengthening the programs and systems that make our work possible.”

The funding will support Connecticut Foodshare’s food purchasing and sourcing efforts, program sponsorships and technology investments, strengthening the organization’s ability to deliver food efficiently and reliably to residents facing food insecurity.

Long-Term Impact

Connecticut Foodshare is the statewide food bank for all 169 Connecticut towns and a member of the Feeding America network.

The organization provides more than 47 million meals each year with the help of more than 6,000 volunteers, serving a need that remains widespread across the state.

The nonprofit distributes food through a broad infrastructure that includes sourcing and purchasing food, rescuing surplus groceries, and warehousing and distributing supplies to more than 500 partner agencies such as food pantries, shelters and community kitchens.

“Strong partnerships are essential to addressing hunger in our communities.”

It also operates 113 mobile pantry sites to reach residents who may otherwise face barriers to accessing food.

ASML’s contribution will help advance those efforts while aligning with the company’s focus on social impact and community engagement.

“ASML is excited to partner with Connecticut Foodshare to drive meaningful, lasting impact across our state,” ASML program manager of society and community engagement Brian Amero.

“Our partnership strengthens the systems that get nutritious food to families faster and more reliably.”

Amero also encouraged other organizations to get involved, citing the importance of collaboration in addressing hunger at scale.

“We’re energized by what we can accomplish together—and we encourage others to step up and support the critical work of Connecticut Foodshare so even more of neighbors in need can thrive,” Amero said.

To Connecticut Foodshare, partnerships with businesses like ASML play an important role in meeting both immediate and long-term needs.

The organization works with corporate partners to help advance their corporate social responsibility and environmental, social and governance goals, while also investing in the communities where employees and customers live and work.

“We are deeply grateful to ASML for their leadership, generosity and partnership,” Jakubowski said.
