Comcast Awards $136K Digital Literacy Grants
Eight Connecticut nonprofit organizations are receiving $136,500 from Comcast to support digital literacy efforts.
The grants are part of Project UP, a $1 billion commitment from Comcast to advance digital equity.
The project supports programs and community partnerships that connect people to the Internet and advance economic mobility.
“We understand the important role that the Internet and digital literacy plays in helping to build a future of unlimited possibilities for everyone in the community,” said Comcast New England senior vice president Carolyne Hannan.
Hannan said the grants will help organizations provide Connecticut residents with tools, resources, and opportunities to excel in the digital world.
