Harris Beach Murtha Expands Northeast Presence

Harris Beach Murtha is expanding its footprint across the Northeast.  

The company announced an agreement June 29 that will bring nearly 40 attorneys from Boston-based Peabody & Arnold to the firm. 

It is the latest step in Harris Beach Murtha’s growth strategy following its 2025 merger with Murtha Cullina.  

The firm will have more than 300 attorneys across 19 offices and more than 30 practice area once finalized.  

Peabody & Arnold attorneys bring experience and expertise with transactional and management liability coverage matters, insurance coverage disputes, and professional liability defense.

Firm leaders say it will also strengthen Harris Beach Murtha’s labor and employment, medical and life sciences, health care and long-term care, business litigation, product liability, and mass torts practices.

The firms will begin collaborating immediately and expect to complete full integration in late summer.  

Harris Beach Murtha said the combined organization will continue its history of community service and pro bono work across its geographic footprint.
