Stamford-based Pitney Bowes Inc. is expanding its small business offerings to give customers access to loans in as little as two days.

Pitney Bowes announced a partnership March 21 with online lending platform Funding Circle March 21 to provide loans to its small business customers.

Seven in 10 business owners who participated in Funding Circle’s 2021 Small Business survey believe they will need financing this year.

The partnership is part of a series of investments for Pitney Bowes to improve experiences and expand offerings for small businesses who use their technology platform for shipping and mailing already.

“America’s 32.5 million small businesses are the driving force behind our economy, but the number of small business loans approved by large banks has halved in just two years,” Pitney Bowes Financial Services president and senior vice president Christopher Johnson said.

“Our partnership with Funding Circle will help business owners on main street get the working capital they desperately need to grow their business.”
