Eleven Connecticut-based startups are joining reSET’s 2022 Impact Accelerator program.

The accelerator program focuses on helping startups succeed economically and socially.

Businesses who are chosen often help employ people in their communities, impact social or environmental challenges, or support philanthropic efforts.

“We are excited to have eleven socially and environmentally conscious businesses in this year’s cohort,” reSET executive director Sarah Bodley said.

“Connecticut is a great place to start a business, and we have an opportunity here to really stand out as a place that prioritizes sustainability and social impact.”

Mission-Driven

The non-profit has supported more than 143 mission-driven businesses since the program began, generating more than $21 million in revenue.

Those businesses also helped create more than 400 jobs.

Representatives from Webster Bank, Berkshire Bank, Peralta Designs, and program alumni make up the advisory team who selected the participants.

As part of the program, the 11 business owners will participate in three months of intense work sessions.

They will have access to co-working space in Parkville, one-on-one guidance with business consultants, and peer feedback.
