Thomaston Savings Bank Awards $150K in Grants

Thomaston Savings Bank awarded 50 grants totaling nearly $150,000 to organizations in Hartford County. 

The grants are part of Phase I of the Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation’s Grant Cycle. 

The 48 grant recipients include nonprofit and community groups that are addressing the needs of their local communities. 

Applications for this round of funding were considered for organizations in Bristol, Farmington/Unionville, and New Britain. 

‘Community Partners’

“Thank you to Thomaston Savings Bank for providing the Boys & Girls Club of New Britain with funds to further our mission,” said Boys & Girls Club of New Britain CEO and executive director James Jones.

“We are grateful to have them as a community partner.”

Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation’s annual grant cycle has four phases, each focusing on a different county.

Applications for Phase II opens July 1 and will focus on Litchfield County.

Applications will be considered from nonprofits and government agencies in Bethlehem, Harwinton, Plymouth, Terryville, Thomaston, Torrington, Watertown, and Oakville.

The deadline for applications is July 31.
