Travelers Championship Shares Record $5M with Charities

The 2026 Travelers Championship once again delivered plenty of drama, with Viktor Hovland outlasting world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler in a Monday playoff to claim the title.
“This is where it all started—this was my first professional event,” Hovland said. “It’s really exciting to finally be a champion of this great event.”
While the tournament delivered memorable moments on the course, its greatest impact may have come off it.
The PGA Tour Signature Event generated more than $5 million for more than 270 charities—both tournament records.
“As tremendous as the competition was on the course, the Travelers Championship is about so much more than what happens on the leaderboard,” said Travelers executive vice president and chief administrative officer Andy Bessette.
Charitable Impact
The Travelers Championship donates 100% of its net proceeds to nonprofit organizations.
The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp was the tournament’s primary beneficiary.

The Ashford-based nonprofit provides traditional summer camp experiences for children with serious illnesses.
The tournament’s Birdies for Charity program also supports hundreds of nonprofits, including the K-12 workforce development nonprofit ReadyCT.
Other participating nonprofits support causes ranging from arts and culture to education, food security, healthcare, housing, mental health, human services, and science and technology.
Local Legacy
The 2026 Travelers Championship marked the 20th year with Travelers as the tournament’s title sponsor.
In that time, the tournament has generated more than $40 million for more than 1,000 nonprofits in the region.
“We’re proud of everything the Travelers Championship represents: a world-class event with hometown heart contributing all net proceeds to charity,” said Travelers chairman and CEO Alan Schnitzer.
“We look forward to making next year’s even more memorable.”
