Rohan Freeman Named to Boston Fed Advisory Council
Freeman Companies president and CEO Rohan Freeman has been named to the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston’s New England Advisory Council.
The council features leaders of small- to mid-sized New England region businesses who provide insights into business conditions and on-the-ground economic realities.
Council members advise bank leaders about underlying trends in the economy based on the experiences of their own companies and respective industries.
NEAC members share perspectives on a range of business conditions and the implications for growth, employment, labor market dynamics, wages, prices, capital spending, and access to credit, among other issues.
The NEAC meets quarterly with the Boston Fed president and senior leaders.
Freeman, a former member of CBIA’s board of directors, manages one of the largest minority-owned companies in the region.
He founded the Hartford-based firm, which specializes in land development, engineering design, and construction services, in 2009.
A renowned adventurer, Freeman was the first African-American to climb the highest peaks on each of the seven continents.
