Education & Workforce Partnership

Connecting partners, strengthening pipelines

Established as the CBIA Education Foundation in 1983, the CBIA Education & Workforce Partnership works with member businesses and other groups statewide to strengthen the talent pipeline and encourage economic growth.

Our Mission

To support the development of a skilled, knowledgeable workforce in Connecticut.

We believe…

  • If we provide people with the skills, experience and credentials needed
  • If we engage businesses in the development of training and curricula
  • If we establish meaningful partnerships to eliminate the gap between employers and job seekers…

Connecticut will have a strong and sustained economy that spurs business growth.

Meets Public Policy

Talent, both in school and at work, is always evolving. CBIA stays ahead of the curve with objectives that help fulfill Connecticut’s public policy goals. We’re the voice for these public policies from expansion of early childhood education to high school reform, and from two-year colleges to four-year universities. Above all, we aim for more assessment and accountability every step of the way.
