Pursuit Aerospace Acquires UK’s Aeromet

Manchester-based Pursuit Aerospace announced Aug. 19 that it has acquired Aeromet International, a leading aerospace castings business.

In the move, Pursuit will buy the United Kingdom-based company from its current owner, Privet Capital.

Aeromet is a leading supplier of aluminum and magnesium castings for the aerospace and defense industries.

Founded more than 40 years ago in England, the company serves OEM and Tier 1 aerospace and defense customers around the world including Airbus, Boeing, Rolls Royce, and Embraer.

The acquisition expands Pursuit’s casting capabilities to include light alloy investment and sand-casting.

Pursuit said Aeromet enhances its ability to deliver a broad range of components to customers including castings, closed die and rolled ring forgings, machined components, and fabricated assemblies.

Pursuit CEO Doug Folsom said the move will “allow us to bring great value to our customers.”

“Aeromet’s deep technical expertise in complex, light alloy casting design and manufacturing is a valuable addition to our robust existing capability set.”

Pursuit Aerospace formed in 2023 with the merger of Whitcraft Group and Paradigm Precision.

The acquisition of Aeromet adds to the company’s 18 operation centers in seven U.S. states & four countries.
