Connecticut companies with safety concerns can now get consulting advice at no charge and with no risk of penalty.

CONN-OSHA, a unit of the Connecticut Department of Labor, offers a variety of consulting services tailored to fit individual employer needs in areas that include safety, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, injury, and illness prevention plans.

In utilizing these services, employers are able to get a written assessment of their workplace hazards and can use the guidance of CONN-OSHA’s consultants in addressing issues.

Each consultation is viewed by CONN-OSHA as an opportunity to help an employer incorporate key elements of an effective workplace injury and illness prevention plan into long-term business operations.

CONN-OSHA will not assess penalties or citations as a result of the consulting process.
