Employers Reminded of OSHA Recordkeeping Requirements

It’s the time of year when most private employers have to fulfill important OSHA recordkeeping requirements.

OSHA 300A logs summarizing injuries of the previous calendar year need to be posted between Feb. 1 and April 30.

Also remember that March 2 is the deadline for electronically reporting your OSHA Form 300 data for calendar year 2019.

Here is a brief OSHA tutorial on completing recordkeeping requirements and filing electronically.

Effective this year, the collection of calendar year 2019 data and beyond will include a company’s Employer Identification Number.

Facilities with 19 or fewer employees, regardless of industry, or if included on this list, do not have to submit their information.

Companies that had a peak employment between 20 and 249 people during the previous calendar year—and the company’s NAICS code is on this list—must submit injury and illness summary data via Form 300A to OSHA electronically.
