With the 2025 legislative session coming to an end, CBIA’s policy team will begin touring businesses throughout Connecticut to better understand the business climate, key economic issues, and engage legislators with employers.

CBIA’s policy team successfully resumed business legislator tours last summer.

Member companies hosted dozens of legislators from both parties to tour their facilities, met their employees, and learned more about their operations to help advocate for policy solutions that drive economic growth and a better business climate.

Tours ranged from small manufacturing companies to large international companies with thousands of employees in Connecticut.

Engagement

In total, the policy team worked with more than 20 member companies to host tours from June through October of 2024.

The policy team is currently offering member companies the opportunity to host legislators for tours throughout the summer and fall leading up to next year’s legislative session.

“This is a great opportunity for legislators to hear directly from people who are working every day to grow their business.”

CBIA’s Chris Davis

CBIA members interested in hosting a legislator tour can reach out to public policy associate Jenna Grasso to coordinate legislator visits.

“This is a great opportunity for legislators to hear directly from the people on the ground who are working every day to grow their business and deliver the best possible products and services to their customers,” said CBIA vice president for public policy Chris Davis.

“Employers are the key driver of economic growth, and its important legislators and business leaders are both at the table when making policy decisions.”
