Connecticut companies developing physical products may be eligible for funding through a FORGE program.

The FORGE Product Development Funding Program provides non-dilutive awards between $30,000 and $100,000 to emerging hardtech startups to support the development of a physical product.

The program is designed to help companies overcome scaling challenges in manufacturing.

Supported by the Connecticut Office of Manufacturing and the Manufacturing Innovation Fund, the program is open to Connecticut-registered companies with at least an early stage physical prototype.

Looks-like and works-like prototypes are eligible to apply.

Successful grant applications will pinpoint specific product-development challenges and articulate how the grant funds will be used to overcome the roadblock, using Connecticut-based contract manufacturing and/or supplier resources.

FORGE is offering support to companies who need help identifying a local manufacturer or supplier to work with.

Applications are due to FORGE by Feb. 7, 2025.
