Hundreds of business leaders from across the state will attend Connecticut Business Day 2021 on Tuesday, March 16.

The virtual event begins at 8:30 am with a welcome session and remarks from Gov. Ned Lamont about Connecticutโ€™s reopening efforts and how the vaccine rollout impacts the economic recovery.

A bipartisan group of legislators who signed and support CBIAโ€™s Rebuilding Connecticut policy pledge will discuss their priorities for driving the stateโ€™s recovery.

The 11-point Rebuilding Connecticut policy recommendations are designed to help employersโ€”particularly struggling small businessesโ€”manage the high costs of navigating COVID-19 restrictions, create and retain jobs, and lead the stateโ€™s economic recovery and growth.

CBIAโ€™s Eric Gjede will provide an update on the latest from the 2021 General Assembly session, including the status of key legislative proposals.

Joe Eyer, VP of public affairs for AT&TKelly Memphis, senior manager of government relations and stakeholder engagement practice for the Public Affairs Council, and Sarah Locke-Henderson, manager of U.S. Public Engagement for DoorDash will provide insight, resources, and tools for effectively engaging with legislators and the importance of grassroots advocacy.

CBIA is Connecticutโ€™s largest business organization, with thousands of member companies, small and large, representing a diverse range of industries from every part of the state. For more information, please contact Joe Budd (860.244.1951).
