New hires: Kurt Prochorena and Christopher Blaze.

Kurt Prochorena is the building and land engineering division vice president and Christopher Blaze has been tapped as the director of the land and utility survey.

Together, the two bring more than 50 years of experience working in various parts of the country.

Prochorena is licensed in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. He most recently managed a Boston consulting firm’s Connecticut office.

He brings experience working with public and private sector projects for educational facilities, infrastructure improvements, multi-family housing, and industrial facilities.

Project Management

Loureiro president David Fiereck said he believes Prochorena’s range of site design experience can bring the division to new heights.

“Kurt is an experienced leader with a proven track record of successful project management,” Fiereck said.

“His resume encompasses everything from schools and warehouses to roads and bridges.”

Blaze, a former U.S. Marine, served as detachment operations chief and senior instructor for the Department of Defense Joint Services Surveying School.

Most recently he worked as the director of sales for an international CAD/design company.

“Chris is a highly experienced surveyor who will put the skills he honed over 15 years to deliver an unprecedented level of customer service to our survey clients,” Fiereck said.

Fiereck said Blaze brings both expertise and enthusiasm for new technologies.
