Q: We have a no-weapons policy here at the company. One of our employees, a newcomer, has told us that we can’t have such a policy because of a right-to-carry law. We’ve never heard of such a law. What is it?

A: Some states have laws that allow individuals to carry concealed weapons, but Connecticut is not one of them.
Since 1987 the number of states with these “right-to-carry” laws has tripled.
However, in Connecticut your no-weapons policy is permissible.
