SHRM Hosts June 28 Virtual Career Fair
The Society for Human Resource Management’s Connecticut state council is shifting its post pandemic focus to helping workers connect with Connecticut businesses looking to hire.
The organization announced a virtual career fair in partnership with UKG June 28 from 10 am to 2 pm.
It will be the second SHRM virtual career fair in the state.
The organization hopes the virtual setting will allow job seekers and employers to speak with more people in one day.
Employer Offerings
SHRM will provide employers who register access to a number of tutorial videos and instructions about how to work the virtual platform.
Employers can start communicating with job seekers once they set up a virtual booth.
Employers will be able to upload a company video for job seekers who come to their booth. They can also provide digital handouts along with their job postings.
During the event itself, job seekers will be able to pop in and out of the virtual booths.
Employers can staff the booths to answer questions from job seekers who join. They can also set up interview time slots to conduct interviews during the event or schedule post event interviews.
Participants will have access to the application for 60 days following the event to review and connect with workers.
Interested employers should register here.
Questions about the event and booth setup should be sent to Maria Joy.
