As Connecticut pushes past the pandemic, women are playing an integral role. Business leaders and lawmakers address how they are rising above the challenges at CBIA’s May 19  When Women Lead conference. 

AVANGRID’s first woman president and CEO Catherine Stempien opens this year’s conference, sharing how she broke through the glass ceiling to lead the energy company’s largest business unit.

The Jackson Laboratory’s Lisa Roy, Westminster Tool’s Hillary Thomas,and Hartford Public High School principal Flora Padrodiscuss paving the way for other women to find meaningful careers in science, technology, engineering, and math.

Women’s Business Development Council CEO Fran Pastore leads a conversation with state representatives Tammy Exum and Tammy Nuccio and state senators Christine Cohen and Heather Somers.

Licensed clinical social worker and TEDx featured speaker Jelan Agnew, of the Copper Beech Institute, shares strategies for self-preservation in the office and beyond.
