The state’s largest business organization has named Matt Howe senior vice president for products and services.

Howe, who most recently served as CBIA’s vice president of marketing, will oversee the organization’s core offerings, including Health Connections, Energy Connections, member services, and the Workers’ Comp program, while working across teams to align member value with the organization’s advocacy efforts.

He also leads product strategy and development and provides strategic oversight of CBIA’s marketing efforts.

“Matt’s leadership has been instrumental in elevating our brand, expanding our market presence, and delivering impactful campaigns that have fueled growth in a variety of areas,” said CBIA president and CEO Chris DiPentima.

“He brings a unique blend of marketing insight and product acumen, making him ideally suited for this role as we continue to evolve our offerings to better serve our members.”

‘Incredibly Honored’

“I’m incredibly honored to take on this exciting opportunity to advance CBIA’s mission at a critical time for Connecticut businesses,” said Howe.

“Our Health Connections program is helping members navigate complex healthcare challenges, while Energy Connections provides vital resources for cost management and sustainability.”

Howe succeeds Ken Comeau, who retired June 30 after a 36-year career with CBIA.

“Ken has been an invaluable member of the CBIA team—and instrumental in driving innovation and excellence in CBIA’s products, services, and membership growth,” said DiPentima.

“His contributions to CBIA and Connecticut’s business community are immeasurable.

“I want to personally thank him for his years of leadership, collaboration, mentorship, professionalism, and service.”

Since joining CBIA in 2019, Howe has helped transform the organization’s approach to member engagement and revenue generation.

His initiatives include launching a top-performing events model, directing a complete website redesign, and expanding digital capabilities that strengthened member participation across all programs.

Prior to CBIA, Howe held leadership positions at Travelers, Thomson Reuters, and Paychex, where he developed and implemented national programs for sales effectiveness, workforce development, and performance improvement.
