Fuss & O’Neill CEO Kevin Grigg was elected Dec. 6 to chair the board of directors of CBIA, Connecticut’s largest business organization.

Grigg, who has been with the Manchester-based engineering, planning, and design firm for more than 11 years, succeeds JPMorgan Chase Commercial Banking Market executive Matt McSpedon.

The board also elected two vice chairs: Marietta Lee, president and CEO of Westbrook-based The Lee Company; and Brian Montanari, president and CEO of HABCO Industries, LLC in Glastonbury.

“Serving as CBIA’s board chair is a pleasure and a privilege that will allow me to more effectively represent the varying interests of Connecticut’s business community,” Grigg said today.

“In this capacity I will also be better able to support and advance our organization’s emphasis on more consistent and productive interaction with our public sector partners.

“More transparent and collaborative public-private interaction will allow CBIA to provide an even higher and more effective level of service both to our members and the citizens of the great state of Connecticut than ever before.”

Leadership

“From the day he was elected to the board, Kevin has been a very engaged and thought-provoking director on both policy and operational matters,” said CBIA president and CEO Chris DiPentima.

“He is viewed as a leader among his peers and his elevation to the chair role is welcomed by many, including his fellow directors, past director-emeriti, and CBIA staff.

“We are all excited by Kevin’s leadership and look forward to where it will take us.”
