With the Lamont administration's recent change in its COVID-19 vaccination rollout strategy, employees are responsible for scheduling their vaccinations.

As of Feb. 23, 2021, eligibility for those who live or work in Connecticut is based on age, as follows:

  • Ages 65 and older: eligible now
  • Ages 55-65: March 1, 2021
  • Ages 45-54: March 22, 2021
  • Ages 35-44: April 12, 2021
  • Ages 16-34: May 3, 2021

Based on U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission guidance, employers can ask employees for proof of vaccination, clarifying that such a request would not violate Title II of the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act.
